These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TextSnap browser extension and related website (the "Service"), provided by A17LAB ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TextSnap recognizes on-screen text from a paused video frame so you can copy it. New users receive a limited number of free recognitions. A one-time purchase grants a lifetime license for unlimited recognitions, subject to these Terms and to fair-use limits intended to prevent abuse.

2. License

Upon purchase we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use TextSnap for your own use. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product and the Service; it does not guarantee perpetual availability if the Service is discontinued. Your license key is for your use — do not publish, resell, or share it. We may disable keys that are shared or used abusively.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to recognize or copy content you are not permitted to use, or in violation of any third party's intellectual property or other rights;
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its servers;
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to send excessive automated requests.

You are solely responsible for how you use any text obtained through the Service and for complying with the terms of the sites and content you access.

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases. Applicable taxes may be added. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Recognition quality depends on the source image and is provided on a best-effort basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

6. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that recognized text will be accurate or complete.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, A17LAB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
